Christmas 2009

Well, it has come and gone, Christmas 2009. We had a wonderful Christmas with Lauren and the families. For the most part, Lauren did really well with the new faces and lots of them. Besides the fact that her teething made her a little out of sorts....leading to inadequate napping.....it went pretty smooth. Aunt Erin came to town to hang with her niece and Chris and me. We loved seeing her. We also saw aunt Cathy from FL with Michael and Mike, as well as the Spann clan with their spouses. And time in Fond du Lac with the Miller side was nice and relaxing. We were surprised with a beautiful picture given to us of LK from Brad and Shelly and we all cried. An added bonus was having Katie, Kevin and Sydney in town. I finally got to meet Sydney and kiss her beautiful face! It was a wonderful Christmas and here are some of the highlights...

Baby Sydney McKenna looks just like her beautiful mom.

Our 2 girls with their same stuffed animal.  My how LK's head is 3 times the size of Sydney's! lol

LK on Christmas Eve at Nani and Papa's house.  The dress stayed on for an hour.

They had a better one than I had on my camera.

Lauren was really into the bows....in the mouth they go.

Grandma and Grandpa Miller on Christmas Day.

With Cousin Jennifer in Fondy on Christmas Day.

Lauren was standing while holding onto Eli's tractor.  He didn't look thrilled to have to have two girls fighting for his tractor.

Yeah, aunt Erin!

Can't forget about Great Nana. She wanted Lauren to be looking at her but I convinced her that looking at the camera would be nice. :)

With Cousin Shelly up in Fondy for Christmas Day.

Cousin David with Nathan and Lauren coming over to say hello.

With Cousin Kelly on Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas 2009!  Get ready for the new year.

Play babble

Puff the Magic Dragon

No, I don't mean the song or the scene from Meet the Parents, although that cracks me up. The cereal puffs for kids.

It was just another normal night after work...picked LK up from daycare, she slept for an hour in her carseat on the dryer. Then I fed her...and took video of her first time eating the puff cereal that is like cherrios but disolves in her mouth. She was ok with it...not a pro yet. Then she played for 20 minutes until she started whining and it was time for bed. Pretty quick night, but I got to kiss her on the lips 10 times after her bottle because she was asleep. :) My favorite part!

peeks and giggles

Ribbons & Bows

Lauren thought she would go back to my Christmas ribbon containers over and over again, so I stuck a bow on her head and let her have the ribbon.

Baby proofing

We just replaced our wood table with a leather ottoman so we don't cringe every time she goes to pull herself up to the table. I know we can't wrap her in bubble wrap, but anything to ease the potential bumps and bruises WILL be done.
Daisy is watching Chris put the ottoman together, and Lauren is watching both of them.

Starting Out

I am going to see how well I do at consistently updating this website with pictures and videos of Lauren Kate. I wanted to do this site so that friends and family could go to one place, and also make my life easier by just having to forward a link to people instead of emailing pictures to a ton of people. Please let me know if you have suggestions. I am not a blogger so I'm trying to experiment as I go.

Lauren is crawling and pulling herself up a lot. She is 7.5 months...8 months on January 3. She started crawling a month ago, pulling up a week ago, and I'm hoping she is not walking until a year. :) I know that is wishful thinking.

Here are the latest pictures and videos...in no particular order.
