Miscellaneous

Hi All,

I've not blogged in a while.  We've been busy finishing our basement.  I'm including some pictures from random times since the New Year as well as the basement.  Only 6 weeks left until the next little Miller arrives.   We are getting ready!

Going through a photo album with Nani and Papa

LK getting used to the idea of baby...or should I say...mommy telling her that baby is coming soon.

Cutting dough with shapes while I made dinner.

Video of her cutting shapes...you'll hear a lot of what we do these days, "no no mommy. go away.."

After I wiped the windows down, Lauren needed to do it as well.

Happy New Year!

We had a really nice New Year's Eve this year.  It started with a trip to Betty Brinn Childrens Museum for a party with Mr. Potato Head.  Katie, Allison, Leah and I with our families got together and the kids made decorative hats to ring in the New Year at 10am, children style.

LK waiting for the festivities to begin.
Sydney showing off her cute cute outfit!
Shot of Mr. Potato Head....the real one was downstairs and the kids didn't want to go near him.

 Kevin and Sydney
 Katie, Al and Meyer
Leah helping Ayanna and Kallie with their hats.

Daddy and LK, trying hat on for size.
Mommy and LK...taking a rest on the floor during the celebration.
After the celebration was over, we all let the kids play in the center.  LK soon had a mouth full of sand.
Sydney was having so much fun walking up and down the walkway.

Christmas 2010

It was a wonderful second Christmas for us as a family and LK really understood how to open presents this year compared to last.  After every gift was opened, she asked us to "ope it" for her and then she would lose interest by the time we did.  This last picture above says it all...she was over it.  I don't have any pictures from Christmas Day at the Miller side, so those will be posted later.  New Years is next.

EIEIO

Lauren learned a new song....

And we played in the snow today...

Santa

Well, Santa didn't make the Christmas card this year because Lauren didn't really like him.

Santa thought me getting on his other knee would help....I knew better.

Chilling and Pretzel Dipping

Lauren was in a really good state of mind yesterday to chill with daddy.  We went to Monkey Joe's in the morning and she did ok...she went down the big slides with daddy and then we hung out at home.  One of the highlights was LK and daddy watching the cat on the Barbie channel on TV.  The cat sang a Christmas song with just the word Meow.  She meows now.

Then, this morning, since blizzard conditions put us inside for the day, we started by making chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate chip cookies, and I will make the sugar cookies and decorate them when she is in bed tonight.  Too much sugar by lunchtime today.

And Daisy had a nice nap when Lauren went down.

Christmas Cookies

We decorated sugar cookies today at our friends' Maria and Sophia's house.  They thought up the idea and we were all for it.  It was a fun day of cookie decorating, girls playing, lunch, then nap time.

On our way over to Maria's.

Got my apron on...ready to go!

Where are the cookies?

The fun begins.

Taste-testing begins...

Mommy finally took away the cookies.  Enjoy the video below.
