Dinner and A Giggle

This was one of my favorite pics from the birthday party we had with the Miller side of the family.  She didn't take her afternoon nap, and this was about 2 hours after that point plus her frosting high.  She kind of went into this zoned out bubble.  It was very cute.

Her next party is Saturday with the Fleming side.  I don't know if she'll repeat the steps, but hopefully she digs into the cake this time instead of just the frosting!

Lauren can walk!  She started taking steps this last week and this is the first we've gotten on video.  Just in time for her first birthday.  What fun it is to watch her try out her sea legs.

So, I would say we are 95% done with the kitchen! We just have to get tile for the backsplash, and the lights need to come in. My dad and Chris will put hardward on tomorrow and the glass doors for the buffet, and we're good to go! First is a picture of Lauren with Daddy on the lawn mower, the rest of the kitchen...

Another Kitchen Update

Tonight Lauren wanted to dig in the food bin.  Pretty soon everything will be put away and I'll have to give her a drawer all to herself so she can be entertained.  I'll show a few kitchen updates on the next post.  The cabinets are beautiful....amazing paint job by Eric & Co.  By the end of next week we'll have everything done I think!  Lauren gives hugs and kisses to all.  xo, Jackie



 

Kitchen Update

We are really close to getting all of the cabinet faces back.  The carpenter is putting in the trimwork today and tomorrow so that Eric can come and finish painting the cabinets and trim and walls.  Then the appliances will arrive, and lastly, the granite.  Today the carpenter put in all of the beadboard, as well as baseboard in some of the kitchen and casing on a fw doors.  He will finish the doors and trim tomorrow.  It's coming around in here!

I let Lauren eat from the jar of puffs by herself.  Here is how she did.  Chris wanted me to say he didn't condone this.  Although, I would not let her help herself to a handful of real cheerios or anything.   These disolve once saliva hits them.
